what is this?

what it says on the tin. i enjoy writing essays and articles that are similar to essays about topics i'm interested in. this can include dissections on video games, movies, books, etc or talking points about art, genres, tropes, etc.

what do you write about?

lots of stuff. i mentioned various media before, but i'll narrow it down a bit.
i am particularly interested in the fantasy genre and it's tropes, so most of the media i consume is within that genre. i do sometimes dabble in sci-fi and gothic media. i greatly enjoy talking about the various tropes within fantasy and it's sub-genres.
i enjoy watching movies, cartoons and anime. i also read from time to time, usually YA-- i had a long break without reading, so i'm starting with easier to read things. i play a wide variety of video games, but mostly RPGs. i don't focus on any media from a particular time.
getting very speific, i will probably write about my special interests a lot. my special interests are: Elder Scrolls, especially Morrowind, Dungeons and Dragons (including Baldur's Gate), works of Brandon Sanderson and worldbuilding of fantasy worlds (unsure if that counts as a special interest, but it's very intense!).
